We just had a talk with Kosmos and it seems that we haven't realized that the potential game has no chances to be released by thanksgiving day. I guess, once one or another idea win we should change it to the regular one, but not like thanksgiving themed.

it's more a matter of timing than anything. You should make sure there is adequate time for submission and voting if you want enough time to make a game for a special occasion like a holiday. For instance, if you did a Christmas-themed game idea submission round, you would realistically want not only the game idea submission round but also the ACTUAL voting be done at LEAST 2 weeks prior to Christmas if you wanted the game done by Christmas. And that's just for Kosmos, who finishes games somewhat quicker. For you or Serega, i would say that at least 3 or 4 weeks prior to said holiday or special occasion for voting to be done.
I'd say that everyone would likely be okay if this Thanksgiving game-idea was done before the end of November if Kosmos can't get it done by Thanksgiving, otherwise by then the Thanksgiving spirit and mood will be largely gone. So it's like not everyone will be averse to waiting an additional 2-3 or so days if necessary.
You should, however, tell Kosmos that if he does intend to finish a Thanksgiving game by Thanksgiving or at least by the end of November, he should probably start ASAP.
