Dude, for real. It used to be a really hard rule that once a character was established with a writer that she was their character and it was their story to tell. When someone asked for permission to use Mrs Megamounds, a character I inherited (WITH PERMISSION) from serrated and wrote two very popular games with, I very politely asked them to use a different character, and even offered story help and suggestions, because I had plans for another story set later in the year and didn’t want their story to interfere with it. And then an idea got posted anyway. And it’s in first place. Like, it’s cool that people love these characters but I wish they’d actually listen to the authors who wrote the games that made the characters popular.

Serrated wrote the first game and I wrote the second and third (with permission from Serrated) Vadim has been the artist for all three games. Most of the games on this site are a collaboration between writer and artist.

I don’t really blame you, the wording of the rules was pretty vague this round, and I like your idea, it’s just that now I don’t want to post the Christmas idea for the next round because I don’t want people to get sick of the character. There was a Mrs Megamounds game less than three months ago and odds look like we’re getting another one soon.

I guess I didn’t realize that you and the writer for the mars idea were two different people, because I very specifically asked them not to post their idea. Oh well, glad to see that I helped make Mrs Megamounds such a popular character that three different people have stories written about her

Oh, gotcha. Yeah, I just saw the rule about other artist’s characters. I didn’t know that applied to the writers of past scripts as well. Sorry about that, man. Didn’t mean to step on any toes.

Maybe it would be a good idea to include the writers the characters belong to along with the artist under the character listings. When I checked that, I just saw Vadim’s name so I thought she was ok to use.

I still think you should write a Christmas script. If there’s demand for it, why not, right? I’ll certainly vote for it.

Kosmos completely forgot that Gloria Gazongaz originally was your character. Sorry for that, this is his bad. I told him to be a lot more accurate with characters origin.
As a compensation I think you should write another idea with Gloria and he'll make it for you. How does it sound?

And if I may add something, Punk, if you do decide to write another game for her, maybe you could include some reference to Ho-Down to explain why she'd be doing this so that it at least sort of fits in with your intentions for her?
